Textilan Inks are used to refill Textilan pens. All Textilan Inks can be mixed with each other and diluted or lightened with our special thinner V3, which makes it very easy to create intermediate shades on the spot.
Like the Textilan pens, Textilan Inks are available in all 150 colours of the colour chart and in all 100 colours of the jeans colour chart, in 250 ml and 1 litre bottles. Special shades can be made on request if you send us fabric samples showing the faults.
Textilan Inks are highly flammable. The appropriate safety and protective precautions must be observed. Experience shows, however, that it is sufficient to keep the windows of the retouching room open at all times and to ensure that the room is well ventilated.
Technical notes
Spots are comparatively easy to retouch. With stripes and streaks, the fault has to be “broken up”: rather than retouching the whole stripe, apply small dots to the fault so that a gradual transition into the adjacent fabric areas is achieved.
In general, the Textilan pen with the fine tip is used. Skilled retouchers use the thick (coarse) tip, although this involves a greater risk. Specialists use brushes or spray guns.
To avoid problems, always carry out preliminary trials before use.
