Technical tip:
The writing head is screwed on to the top of the tube and remains there until the tube is empty. Only then is it screwed quickly on to a new tube.
Please note that: the more half or 100% synthetic fibres products contain, the finer the writing tip must be. The finer the product, the finer the tip.
1. It is essential to write on dry products. The fabric writing dyes cannot combine with wet and damp fibres.
2. The fabric-writing-dye must be completely dry before a new work process is begun. In general, the fabric-writing-dyes contain organic solvents which quickly evaporate so that a drying time of five minutes is sufficient.
3. The fabric-writing-dyes should be stored at normal temperatures i.e. neither too hot nor too cold. Cold temperatures make colours thick, where as heat makes them too thin.
4. The diversity of colours, yellow, red, orange, black, white, green, blue make it possible to mark or label products quarterly or according to customer groups.
5. Flockenhaus provide five choices of writing heads :
Nr. 0 super fine for feinest products
Nr. 1 very fine for the silk industry as also for very fine cotton and polyester goods
Nr. 2 fine for all smooth fabrics in the cotton and cloth industry
Nr. 3 medium for cloths and heavy ware
Nr. 4 thick for heaviest ware that is strong milled and raised
6. The writing head stays on the tube until this is completely empty. Only then is it quickly screwed on to a new one.
7. If the writing head does not write immediately, scratch off possible remains of colour with the fingernail. Press the head slightly inward and squeese the tube. Let a few drops of the fabric designer dye run out. The tube is then ready for use again.
8. If, unexpectedly, the writing head does not write, screw it off and replace with a new one. Place the clogged-up head in Fixon cleaning agent. After a short time the remains of dye are dissolved. The writing head can now be blown through or dismantled and cleaned. After assembly the writing head is in perfect condition to be employed.
To avoid problems, it is advisable to carry out preliminary tests before using the fabric design dyes.
